“Kaamos” is the Finnish word for “polar night.” It’s a very special time of the year when the Northern world stays dark all day long, and produces some of the most astonishing natural light effects you can see on Earth. Kaamos is a truly unique phenomenon, and we think it’s an apt name for a blog devoted to the love of the Great North!
Kaamos is a news source for people who are interested in the arctic regions, whether your interests are political, geographic, or environmental. We’ll also write some posts on why people like living so far North, with some advice for prospective migrants!
